Small Group Essay Workshop

This 3-hour workshop focuses on helping students working on their main essays for either the Common, Coalition, California State or UC Applications. There will be multiple brainstorm methods used to get ideas flowing in a small group setting for students to make significant progress on their essays. Goal is for students to leave with one or possibly more developed concepts, plan for essay structure and first or second drafts. Each student is different and it is up to the student to be motivated to attend this workshop. The more each student puts in, the more they will get out of it. 4 students maximum per workshop. 2019-2020 school year workshops dates to be announced.

College List Planning

A College List assessment starts with an initial two-hour meeting with the student and parents to go over important variables in deciding their college list. There will be discussions about current transcripts, test scores, majors, financial needs and personal interests. ECC will do extensive research and utilize resources nationally to come up with a college list of 10 “right fit” schools. This process includes a follow up meeting to go over the proposed college list.

Hourly Consultation

Hourly consultations are available; however, students with long term plans with ECC get first priority with availability.
