Comprehensive Plan- 3 to 4 Year Plan beginning as early as Freshman year

The Comprehensive Plan takes the student and their parents through each step of the search and application process. The benefits of this plan are: your student gets high priority, your student is motivated to think about their next steps in education and has a multi-year timeline to map out essay development, a college list, resume building and ultimately their path to college. There is cap of students ECC works with for each graduating class; the Comprehensive Plan is the best way to secure a spot for your student for their graduating class. The plan begins with an initial two-hour meeting with parents and student, followed by a series of meetings between the consultant and student over the next four years. This all-inclusive plan usually starts Freshman year with progress building every year, ramping up to Senior year. This plan includes strategic high school course selections, planning for ACT/SAT Test dates and preparation, developing the college list, essay brainstorming, writing and editing, providing guidance for financial or merit aid, assessment of transcripts, test scores, resume building and up to 12 additional meetings. Midterm Plan- 2 year plan for a Rising junior

The Midterm Plan focuses on the rising junior as the student heads into the busiest high school years. What is pivotal in this plan is that the student has Junior year to prepare for the application process. Essay development, creating a college list and resume building can be planned sooner to decrease overall stress. Midterm Plan includes an initial two-hour meeting with parents and student, research and development of a college list for a balance of high, medium and low chance of admission schools, strategic planning for ACT/SAT tests and test prep, providing guidance for financial or merit aid, essay writing development, detailed timeline for deadlines and up to 8 additional meetings. Senior Rush Plan- RISING SENIORS

The Senior Rush Plan is beneficial to the student who has already begun their college search, but is having difficulty identifying schools with the right fit and/or the essay portion of the application process. This plan gets the Senior student focused and back on track to complete all application elements before deadlines. This plan includes an initial two-hour meeting with parents and student, assessment of transcripts and test scores, research and recommendations for a college list with a balance of high, medium and low chance admission schools, and essay writing development for 5 essays which can be reused throughout the process. This plan may include up to 5 additional meetings.    

Essay Plan

The Essay Plan provides the development of essay topics for college applications through brainstorm techniques, reviewing successful college essays and back and forth dialogue, feedback and editing. This is a one-on-one plan includes an initial one-hour brainstorm meeting and 5 follow up editing meetings. Plan includes development of 5 essays which can be reused throughout the process. The level of development of the essays varies per student.
